iPhone app · in beta
A quiet home screen, made of widgets.
Margin replaces rows of bright icons with a page of calm text: the time, the weather, your next event, and your apps as a list of names. One typeface, and a wallpaper in exactly the same colour, so the widgets disappear into it.

Fewer things asking for your attention.
Icons are designed to be tapped. Every badge, colour and logo on your home screen is competing for a look. Margin keeps what you need and lets the rest go quiet.
Everything on the page is a widget.
Mix and match them on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen. They all share your theme, typeface and alignment.
Four colours. Three typefaces. Try them.
Each theme is a wallpaper colour and the ink that sits on it. Margin saves the matching wallpaper to Photos for you, so it's an exact match.

Work apps at work. Fewer at bedtime.
Keep a few lists of apps and let a Focus switch between them. When Work Focus comes on, your launcher changes with it. Each list can span up to three Home Screen pages.

No accounts, no analytics and no servers of our own. Margin only uses what it needs to fill in your widgets.
Questions you might have.
Does Margin replace my Home Screen?
No. iOS doesn't allow that, and Margin doesn't need to. It's a set of widgets you place on your Home Screen and Lock Screen. You move your other apps to the App Library, and they're still there in search and the App Library whenever you want them.
Which apps can the launcher open?
Apps that can be opened by a link, which covers most of Apple's apps and popular ones like WhatsApp, Spotify, Slack, Signal, Notion and Obsidian: 46 in all, with more added in updates. iOS only lets a widget open another app by its link, so apps without one can't be listed.
Why does the wallpaper matter?
Widgets always sit on a background. When the wallpaper is exactly the same colour as that background, the edges vanish and the text looks like it's printed on the page. Margin saves the right wallpaper to Photos during setup, so you just set it in Settings › Wallpaper.
Do I have to give it my calendar and location?
No, both are optional. Without them, Today shows just the time and date, and you can leave out the Next up and Weather widgets.
How does switching lists with a Focus work?
In Settings › Focus, choose a Focus, then add a Margin filter under Focus Filters and pick a list. When that Focus turns on, every Launcher widget switches to the list.
Is there an iPad version?
Not at the moment. Margin is made for iPhone, and needs iOS 27.
Coming soon to the App Store.
Margin is in beta on TestFlight now, and will be on the App Store soon.
